Overall I found the book very informative. However, there was one point that cost me a lot of time to figure out since it wasn't clearly spelled out in the book. On page 56, it says "(...) because an LLC owned by a husband and wife is still considered a disregarded entity by the IRS." I'm new to this topic, but as far as I can tell the IRS says " If an LLC is owned by husband and wife in a non-community property state, the LLC should file as a partnership." It looks like at least for non-community property states, page 56 seems to be incomplete.

I learned a lot about LLC's, including a lot of useful advice and questions to take to my attorney, accountant and insurance agent. This is a very credible overview of Limited Liability Companies, with a decent amount of detail.
Get it! Start a business join the little guys.
After numerous tries of registering my own company as a LLC, the book laid out a very simple but thorough procedures for registering in my own home state and other states in our union. The CD also contains sample documents for your state making the process simple.
This helped me tremendously in starting a small business. Read it before you start your own.
Very informative book. It really breaks it down to the nuts and bolts of what you need to know. I found information in this book that my attorney & CPA wouldn't even tell me. If you're thinking of starting your own company, this book is definitely a must read!
I wanted to learn about starting LLC, and as always, I turned to the dummy book.

This book is up to date, and many useful information. By the end I actually knew more than my accountant or lawyer did on several key subjects.

The lady who wrote tbe book also runs website, and you can actually establish your LLC through them, how convinient and smart business model! And you even get discount if you buy the book and establish LLC through her website.

LLC seems one of last remaining American dream and the book really captures it.
Whew! What a read! This really takes you from dummy (or any other intermediate stage) to informed consumer fast. Head was swimming with all the information contained in the pages and was really helpful for getting me informed on starting my LLC before I stepped into a lawyer's office. I was able to ask informed questions about my particular business startup that would have otherwise delayed the process or had been more costly.
